What is the Canada Immigration Program RNIP?
RNIP (Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot) is a pilot Canadian immigration program that is expected to last for 5 years in local areas in five Provinces: Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
The RNIP pilot program was officially announced in January 2019 based on the same foundation as the AIPP program after drawing some experience from this program.
The RNIP program aims to facilitate international students and skilled foreign workers to obtain permanent residency in Canada to address the resource gaps faced by some industries, and also to Helping businesses attract and retain talent from around the world.
So far (August 2020) 11 local communities (Community) have signed up to participate in this pilot program. The specific list is as follows:

Eligibility to participate in the RNIP . Program
Candidates for this program must meet the following conditions:
- Have at least 1 year of continuous work experience (At least 1,560 hours) within the last 3 years or have graduated from a Post-Secondary Education and Training Institution in one of the above 11 Local Areas (not applicable). used for English/French learning programs, non-formal programs, Part-time study programs, Online)
- Receive a full-time job offer (Under NOC O, A, B, C or D) in the 11 regions above.
- English requirements: Calculated according to CLB (Canadian Language Benchmarks – Canada’s foreign language standard) depending on the NOC of the job.
- Apply within 18 months of graduation.
- A minimum of 16 months living in one of the 11 Local Areas listed above.
